Getting to Shorelines Casino Peterborough

A visit to Fisher Drive is mostly practical: the car park or the bus stop, then the door, then the food. The budget card further down helps you set a limit before you leave home.

The address and the car park

Shorelines Casino Peterborough is at 3800 Fisher Drive, Peterborough, Ontario K9J 6X6. Parking there is complimentary, with no charge for the car park. For questions before you go, the casino's phone number is 1-833-678-0880. Directions to the door are on the casino's own page at greatcanadian.com, which is the operator's site. If you type the old address, shorelinescasinos.com, it redirects you there.

Taking the bus

Peterborough Transit Route 5, The Parkway, runs between the downtown terminal and Fleming College. Its stop at the casino is called "Fisher at Shorelines Casino". The route runs Monday to Friday, on Saturdays, and on Sundays and holidays. For the timetable, check the City of Peterborough site before you head out. If you plan to ride back the same night, check the return trip there too.

At the door

Ontario law bars people younger than 19 from going into a casino or remaining there. That rule comes from the Gaming Control Act, 1992. The operator's guest code of conduct says it briefly: "We ID under 30", just four words. If you look younger than 30, expect to be asked for ID.

Bring original, physical, government-issued photo ID. A photocopy or a picture on your phone is not the original. Staff may also ask for another piece of ID. Smoking or vaping is permitted in designated areas and nowhere else. Across the whole property, cannabis is off limits.

Accessibility

Service animals and guide dogs can go into the public areas, under Great Canadian Entertainment's accessibility policy. Personal assistive devices are welcome too. A support person may come with you, subject to the age limit. In Ontario that means 19 or older, the same as every other guest. For a question specific to your visit, the casino's number is 1-833-678-0880.

Where to eat

Shorelines Casino Peterborough has two places to eat. The first is a restaurant with modern casual food and a fully licensed bar. Its name is not published. The second is The Buffet, which runs themed menus and needs no reservation.

Great Canadian Rewards Comp Dollars are accepted at both. Neither one has published hours or prices. If you want to eat at a set time, phone the casino first at 1-833-678-0880. The same call also handles a holiday visit, since holiday hours go unpublished too.

A limit for the evening

Before you leave home, decide two numbers: the amount you will spend and the hours you will stay. Divide the first by the second to get a figure for each hour. Take a break every hour, away from the floor. Once the cards for the evening run out, you stop and head home, without topping up. The tool is for adults: casinos in Ontario are 19+.

Your night in cards

Divide the money for tonight by the hours you plan to stay: that is one card per hour. When the last card is spent, the night is done.
